Title: Autonomous Mobility Enablement
Abstract: Thanks to the recent availability of technologies, many industries tend to shift their gears towards transforming manual devices into robotic devices with autonomous navigation.
Maturity, scalability, useability, and safety of the autonomous navigation technology become crucial to this transformation. Solutions to autonomous mobility enablement and cases deployed to multiple applications will be presented.

Title: Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Solution for Order-Picking Tasks
Abstract: Order picking is one of the least automated areas in logistics. This talk is about LGE’s approach to this problem, i.e., assisting human’s order-picking tasks using multiple indoor delivery robots without modifying the infrastructure. It also introduces some technical challenges when we apply this idea to a real-life scenario

Title: Vision-Based 3D Metrology Technologies and Applications
Abstract: Recent advance in machine learning and computer vision enables robust processing for 3D measurement in feasible time, resulting in more complex and precise tasks in a wide range of applications. With 3D cameras, industrial robots these days can handle objects in sub-millimeter accuracy. In this talk, we review recent 3D metrology technologies and discuss about their industrial applications.

Title: AI-based recommendation service for robot automation
Abstract: Marosol uses a vast amount of database and AI algorithm to recommend the best application cases as well as suppliers once the customer uploads on-site videos. This online matching platform by Marosol eliminates the lack of information and opacity by reducing time taken to search for a robot automation company from six months – two years to just one day.

Title: Understanding Multiple Robot Path Planning Issues in Grid Environments
Abstract: Recent demands on efficient operation of multiple Autonomous Mobile Robots(AMR) for warehouse applications bring our research interest to Multiple Agent Path Finding(MAPF) problems. In general, MAPF is an NP-hard problem, therefore most research work simplifies the problem with several assumptions and makes it a tangible sub-optimal problem. In this talk, it will be discussed what assumptions we can reasonably make MAPF solvable, how we can classify problems, and about the characteristics of representative approaches and recent related studies. Finally, our work on MAPF and simulation demo at Sungkyunkwan University will be briefly introduced.
